About Me

My photo
kalpana
Born and brought up in Mumbai, 1959, Kalpana Talpade Ranadive showed artistic talent from a very early age of six. Her parents sensing the God given gift within her, decided to get her trained under the well known artist Mr. Maladkar of the 70’s. His realistic style influenced her tender mind immensely. Later after schooling she joined the famed Sir J.J.School of Arts, Mumbai taking “Fine Arts” as her main stream specializing in portraits. Her recent years in Pune she got regular guidance from renowned artist Mr. Pratap Mulick. Most of her work is in oil or mixed medium and her subjects have a spiritual touch. She likes to render all subjects in a realistic manner. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S and very recently in Pune. Some of her paintings are in St Petersburg, India & U.S. Her other interests are yoga, candle making, reading, learning languages and learning new things.
